๐ Global Mission Outreach
Part 1: The Great Commission
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” – Matthew 28:19-20
The Great Commission is not just a suggestionโit’s a divine mandate for every believer. Jesus calls us to cross cultural, geographical, and social boundaries to share His love with the world.
๐ค Reflection Question:
What barriers (personal, cultural, or geographical) do you feel God is calling you to cross for His kingdom?
Part 2: Understanding Global Needs
Before we can effectively serve, we must understand the diverse needs of our global communityโspiritual, physical, emotional, and social.
๐ Spiritual Needs
Salvation, discipleship, biblical teaching
๐ Physical Needs
Food, shelter, healthcare, clean water
๐ Emotional Needs
Love, acceptance, hope, healing
๐๏ธ Social Needs
Community, justice, education, empowerment
๐ Interactive Poll:
Which area of global need do you feel most passionate about addressing?
Part 3: Practical Steps for Global Mission
Global mission isn’t just for full-time missionaries. Every believer can participate in God’s global plan through prayer, giving, going, and sending.
1. ๐ Pray for the Nations
Intercede for unreached people groups, missionaries, and global church leaders.
2. ๐ฐ Give Generously
Support missions financially through your local church and mission organizations.
3. ๐ถ Go When Called
Be open to short-term trips, long-term service, or relocation for ministry.
4. ๐ค Send Others
Encourage and support others who are called to cross-cultural ministry.
โ Action Planning:
Choose one practical step you will take this week to engage in global mission:
โก Equipping the Saints for Mission Work
Part 1: Biblical Foundation for Equipping
“So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.” – Ephesians 4:11-12
God has designed the church to be a training ground where every believer is equipped and empowered for ministry. No one is called to be a spectator in God’s kingdom.
๐ฏ Spiritual Gifts Assessment:
Which of these spiritual gifts do you sense God has given you? (Check all that apply)
Part 2: Essential Skills for Mission Work
Effective mission work requires both spiritual maturity and practical skills. Let’s explore the key competencies every mission worker should develop.
Spiritual Skills
๐ Bible Study
Ability to study, understand, and teach Scripture
๐ Prayer & Intercession
Developing a strong prayer life and spiritual warfare
๐ฅ Discipleship
Mentoring and developing other believers
Practical Skills
๐ฃ๏ธ Communication
Cross-cultural communication and language learning
๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ Team Building
Working effectively in diverse teams
๐ฏ Project Management
Planning and executing ministry initiatives
๐ Skill Development Plan:
Rate your current level in each area (1-5 scale):
Part 3: Creating an Equipping Culture
The goal isn’t just personal growthโit’s creating a culture where everyone is equipped to equip others. This multiplication principle is key to sustainable mission work.
The 2 Timothy 2:2 Principle
“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.”
๐ฏ Mentorship Commitment:
Who could you begin mentoring or equipping for ministry?
What’s one skill or area of knowledge you could teach someone this month?
๐ข Evangelism: Sharing the Good News
Part 1: The Heart of Evangelism
“But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” – 1 Peter 3:15
Evangelism isn’t about winning argumentsโit’s about sharing the hope we have in Christ with love, gentleness, and respect. It starts with our own transformed life and genuine care for others.
๐ญ Personal Testimony Builder:
Complete these sentences to build your personal testimony:
Part 2: Practical Evangelism Methods
There are many ways to share the Gospel. The key is finding methods that fit your personality and the people you’re trying to reach.
๐ฃ๏ธ Verbal Methods
- โข Personal testimony
- โข Gospel presentations
- โข Answering questions
- โข Preaching/teaching
- โข Casual conversations
๐ค Lifestyle Methods
- โข Acts of service
- โข Building relationships
- โข Demonstrating love
- โข Living with integrity
- โข Showing compassion
๐ญ Role-Play Scenario:
A coworker asks you: “Why do you seem so peaceful even when things get stressful at work?”
How would you respond? Write your answer:
“That’s a great question! I’ve found that my relationship with Jesus gives me a peace that doesn’t depend on my circumstances. Even when work gets crazy, I know that God loves me and has a plan for my life. It doesn’t mean I don’t feel stress, but I have someone to turn to who’s bigger than any problem I face. Would you like to know more about what that looks like?”
Part 3: Overcoming Evangelism Barriers
Many Christians struggle with evangelism due to fear, lack of knowledge, or past negative experiences. Let’s address these common barriers and find practical solutions.
โ Barrier: “I’m afraid of rejection”
โ Solution: Remember that rejection of the Gospel isn’t rejection of you personally. Focus on being faithful to share, not on controlling outcomes.
โ Barrier: “I don’t know enough”
โ Solution: You don’t need to know everythingโjust share what you do know. Start with your personal experience with Jesus.
โ Barrier: “I don’t want to be pushy”
โ Solution: Focus on building genuine relationships and sharing naturally. Let the Holy Spirit guide conversations.
